Abstract

Angiosarcoma is a rare malignant vascular tumor. It makes up less than 2% of all sarcomas and less than 1% of all cancers. Between 50-95% of cases are located in the head and neck. Among the prognostic factors are age, sex, location or degree of differentiation, although none of them seems to infer a better or worse prognosis to the injury. The treatment of choice for angiosarcoma is surgery, with or without adjuvant radiotherapy, due to its high rates of subclinical extension and local recurrence. of an 80-year-old patient who attended the Dermatology service of the Lucía Íñiguez Landín Clinical Surgical Hospital in Holguín, in January 2023 with a diagnosis of angiosarcoma. The interesting thing about this report is the rarity of this diagnosis in our environment.
