Analysis of the Program of the Dermatology Subject of the Medical School

Introduction: The critical analysis of the syllabus contributes to systematize the teaching exercise, since criticism contributes to achieve more qualified alumna to solve the tasks of daily work, while it makes it possible to identify the assets for curricular programs improvement.
Objective: To analize the program of the Dermatology subject of the medical school.
Methods: The empirical method of documentary review of the program of the Dermatology course of the fifth year of the Medical School was used. In addition, logical thinking procedures (analysis-synthesis and induction-deduction) were used.
Results: The analized program adjusts in objectives, contents and evaluation to the model of the profesional we aspire to train.
Conclusions: The current Dermatology progeam achieves the internal coherence of the basic topics of the subject that a general practitioner requires, which allows raising the quality of teaching-care integration. However, it is posible to perfecting.
